Docs Assistant: write, read and organise documents with an agent
The Docs Assistant works on the Docs page, where your folders and files live. It writes new documents, summarises existing ones, finds which file mentions something, and puts files in the right folder. You do not open each file to find out what is in it.
Files, folders and tasks sit in the same database in Worknano. The Docs Assistant can therefore pull tasks, deals or objectives into a document without an export step.
What it does
- Creates and edits files. Rich text, markdown, blocks, plain text, boards, websites and designs. Files always go into a folder. If you name none, it picks a fitting one.
- Reads and summarises. It reads the text of a file, including long files page by page, and answers questions about it.
- Finds the right document. It searches file text for a topic, then opens the best match.
- Publishes and unpublishes. A published file gets a public link that works without login, so the assistant treats it as external.
- Edits open PowerPoint and PDF files. It proposes new slides or text replacements, and you confirm with Add slides or Apply edits.
- Calls specialists. For board, design, website or image content, and for short copy, it asks a specialist agent for a draft and then writes the result to the file.
When it helps
- You need a project brief. "Write a one-page brief from the open tasks of the Atlas project" reads the tasks and creates a document in the right folder.
- A long contract sits in Docs. "Summarise the termination clause" reads the file and answers from it.
- You have a board open. "Add the open deals as notes in three columns" asks the Board File Agent for a scene and shows it for your confirmation.
How it works with your data
It reads the files and folders you are allowed to see. Creating, updating, publishing or deleting something is a preview that you confirm. When it proposes slides, PDF edits or board elements, it does not claim they were added until you click.
The specialists it calls have no tools of their own. The Board File Agent, Design File Agent, Web File Agent and Image File Agent only draft. The Docs Assistant applies the result.
It cannot create new PDF, video or photo files. For those, you upload the file first. It runs on a fast model by default.
Make it yours
The Docs Assistant is a record in the Agents module. Change the instructions, model, temperature and tools, duplicate it, or start blank.
