Image File Agent: turns an image idea into a clear brief
"Make it look better" is not an instruction. The Image File Agent turns a rough idea about an image file into a brief someone can act on. It tells you what the subject is, how it should be composed, which colours to use, what text goes on top, and what must stay as it is.
It is the specialist the Docs Assistant asks when you work with an image on the Docs page.
What it does
- States the subject clearly, so a designer or an image tool knows what the picture is about.
- Describes composition and colours in concrete terms, such as framing, background and palette.
- Specifies text overlays, including what each line says and where it sits.
- Lists what to keep. When you edit an existing image, the brief names the parts that must not change.
The brief is short on purpose. It is meant to be followed in the image editor, not read as an essay.
When it helps
- A campaign needs a banner. You describe the message, and the brief gives you a layout your designer or an image tool can follow.
- A product photo has a cluttered background. The brief says to keep the product and lighting, simplify the background, and add a headline in the brand colour.
- A colleague asks for "something like last year's cover". The brief captures that look in words, so the next person does not guess.
How it works with your data
The Image File Agent has no tools. It does not open the image, generate pictures or edit pixels. It writes the brief from your description. It does not claim that the image has already been changed, because it has not. You or the image editor take the brief and make the change.
It does not read your workspace either. If a brief needs facts from your records, such as a product name, the Docs Assistant can read them for you and pass them along, within what you are allowed to see. The agent runs on a fast model by default.
This is the honest limit: you get words, not a finished picture.
Make it yours
The Image File Agent is a record in the Agents module. Change its instructions to add your brand rules, such as logo placement or approved colours. Change the model or temperature, duplicate it for a second brand, or start from a blank agent. Build your own agent walks through the steps, and How to edit a page assistant and a reusable agent shows the editor. For layouts built from shapes and text, see the Design File Agent.
