Workflow Creator: turns an automation request into a workflow
Workflow Creator turns a sentence like "when a deal is won, create an onboarding project and tell the account owner" into a draft workflow. You pick the model it belongs to, or mention it, and the agent proposes the trigger, the conditions and the smallest safe sequence of effects. You get something you can read, not code you have to write.
What it does
- Chooses a supported trigger, such as a record change or a schedule, and writes explicit conditions.
- Adds effects: notify people in the app or by email, update fields, or create a record in another model with its real fields.
- Uses placeholders for values from the record, the current user and the current date, such as today and now.
- Sets up scheduled actions with a valid schedule, for reminders and stale checks.
- Uses an AI agent step only when generated content or analysis is really needed.
- Tells you in the description what it could not express, so you do not assume it is done.
When it helps
- When a task passes its due date, notify the assignee and the project owner.
- When a deal moves to Won, create a follow-up task for the account owner with a due date of today.
- Every Monday morning, send a summary of open key results that have no update.
How it works with your data
Workflow Creator has no tools. It receives the request, the model, and a list of real fields and existing templates from the system. A field that does not exist is rejected, so the draft cannot point at data that is not there. The draft appears as a preview, and nothing runs until you confirm it. Date arithmetic such as "seven days from now" is not available, and the agent says so instead of faking it. It uses a balanced model. The agent drafts the automation. It does not run it, and it does not test it for you, so try a new workflow on a sample record first.
Make it yours
Workflow Creator is a record in the Agents module. Edit its instructions to follow your house rules, for example "always notify by email too". Change the model, adjust the temperature or duplicate it. Workflows work the same way in every module, because Worknano shares one UI and one database design.
