Data Hygiene Assistant: finds missing data and helps you fix it
Most work tools face the same trade-off. Required fields slow people down while they enter data, so most fields stay optional. Then the data rots. Tasks without an assignee, deals without a close date, key results nobody has updated for weeks. The report looks fine until someone relies on it.
Worknano treats missing important data as a debt that someone owes, not as a form error. Admins define data hygiene rules. Each rule names a model, the field that should be filled (or a condition that should not match), the records it applies to, a grace period in days, a severity, the field that says who owes the fix, and a message. Worknano turns them into a hygiene score, a Data hygiene section on your My page, a daily digest, and this agent.
The Data Hygiene Assistant is the part that fixes things. Detection is plain counting by the rules. The agent does not decide what is missing. It takes the findings and helps you close them, record by record.
What it does
- Starts with a summary. It first reports a compact overview: the score, which rules have violations out of how many records were checked, and who owes the most fixes. If you mean your own records, it limits the check to those.
- Asks which rule to work on. It lists the biggest gaps, Critical first, and lets you choose. It never pulls rows for every rule at once.
- Works one rule at a time. It loads ten records of the chosen rule per batch and continues only while more exist and you want more.
- Proposes values only with evidence. The record itself must support the value. Examples: the creator as owner, a project end date for a task that has none, or a date mentioned in the description. If nothing supports a value, it asks you.
- Explains condition rules. Some rules flag a state, such as a key result not updated for 30 days. It says in plain words what the condition means. The fix is to update the record so it no longer matches, for example by reporting a new value.
When it helps
- You open the assistant on Monday and ask what is missing. It shows a score of 78, three Critical gaps and the two people who owe the most. You pick the Critical rule on tasks without an assignee.
- A team lead cleans up before a quarterly review. The assistant walks through key results without a responsible person, ten at a time, and proposes the creator or the team lead where the record supports it.
- A sales manager asks for only their own records. The assistant limits the check to deals they own.
How it works with your data
The assistant has four tools: the hygiene check, a reader for records, a field lookup and an updater. It reads only what you may read, through the same permission checks as every assistant. It never invents people, dates or amounts, and it never writes a placeholder just to make a record look complete.
Every change is a preview. The updater queues a batch, one page of records at most, and nothing is saved until you confirm. You can reject a batch and ask for different values. Replies stay short: lists of record labels, not tables of every field. It runs on a fast model by default.
Honest limits: it cannot fix what it cannot support. If the right value is only in your head, it asks. It also cannot change the rules. Admins edit those on the Organization page.
Why it is different
- Grace periods instead of required fields. People can create a record quickly. The rule only starts to count after the grace days have passed, counted from a date such as the start date.
- Ownership per rule. Every rule says who should fix it. A task without an assignee can belong to its creator, while a task without a due date can belong to the assignee.
- Cross-module rules in one place. Tasks, projects, key results, objectives, contacts and deals use the same rule model and the same score. The same database and the same screen serve all of them.
- An agent that fixes rather than reports. A dashboard shows you the problem. This agent walks you to the fix and queues it for your confirmation.
Where to find it
The Data hygiene section on your My page shows your score and the open rules. Its Fix with assistant button starts a clean-up chat that begins with the hygiene check and the Critical rules. The check is also available to My Agent, the CRM Assistant and the Organization Assistant, so you can ask "what is missing?" from those pages. You can also choose the Data Hygiene Assistant by name wherever you can pick an agent, or attach it to a workflow. The full feature, including the daily digest, is in Data hygiene.
Make it yours
This agent is a record in the Agents module, like every other. You can change its instructions, model, temperature and tools, duplicate it, or start from a blank agent. Your rules matter more than its wording, so define rules that fit your company first. Build your own agent shows the steps, and How to edit a page assistant and a reusable agent shows the editor.
