Worknano vs. 1Password: Company Secrets in the Same Workspace as Your Work, Customizable with AI

Updated 2026-10-15

Most companies do not have a password problem. They have a fragmentation problem. The login for the supplier portal sits in one tool, the project that needs it sits in another, the person who approves access is reachable in a third, and the client record lives in a fourth. Every handover between those tools is a place where context gets lost and credentials end up pasted into a chat.

Worknano takes a different approach. It is one platform where chat, projects, OKRs, CRM, secrets, events, forms and dashboards share the same UI, the same UX and the same database. It focuses on the core problems a company actually has instead of piling on features, and it is fully customizable with AI, so the workspace adapts to how you work rather than the other way around. Worknano Secrets is the module that keeps your shared work credentials inside that workspace.

1. One Place: Same UI, Same UX, Same Database

In Worknano, every module is built on the same foundation. Secrets look and behave like tasks, clients, objectives and approvals: the same lists, the same search, the same detail views, the same permission model. Your team learns the interface once and uses it everywhere.

2. Customizable with AI: The Module Builder

Every company works a little differently. In Worknano you do not have to accept a fixed product shape. The Module Builder lets you describe what you need in plain language, and AI shapes the modules, fields, pages and workflows for you. Need an extra field on a record, a new page for a specific team, or an approval step in a process? Describe it, review the result and use it.

The result is still part of the same platform. A module you shape with AI uses the same UI, the same database and the same access model as everything else, so customization never turns into another disconnected tool.

3. Focused on Core Functionality, Not Feature Sprawl

Worknano is deliberately focused. Instead of adding every possible option, each module solves the core problem well and connects to the rest of the workspace. For Secrets, the core problem is simple: shared company credentials must be stored safely, reachable by the right people, and released in a controlled way. That is exactly what the module does.

4. What a Separate Tool Really Costs

Adding a dedicated tool for every area looks harmless one purchase at a time. Together, it adds up:

5. Secrets: Shared Work Credentials Inside the Workspace

In Worknano, the company vault is a module of the workspace itself: Organization → Secrets. Each secret has a name, the account or username, the secret value, a URL and a description that explains what it is for. Your team finds it in the same place they find their tasks, clients and approvals, with the same search and the same permissions model.

6. Secrets: Encrypted at Rest, Masked in the Interface

Worknano stores the secret value in a password field that is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM field-level encryption on the server. Values are masked in the interface and only shown to people who are allowed to see that row. For shared work credentials, what matters most is that the right people can reach them and nobody else can, and that is what this design delivers.

7. Secrets: Access Requests and Approvals

Instead of asking for a password in chat, your team uses a controlled flow. Secret managers can mark a secret as requestable. Team members then see a names-only directory of requestable secrets, without any values, and can request access with a short comment. The request appears as an approval under My → Approvals for the responsible approver, in the same approvals list they already use for the rest of their work. When it is approved, the person is added to that secret's access list. Requesters cannot approve their own requests, and a request that has already been decided cannot be decided again.

8. Secrets: Access That Follows Your Organization

Worknano secrets use the access concepts your workspace already has. A secret can be private to its creator or shared with specific roles, a team, named users or access levels. When someone changes team or role in Worknano, the access follows the organization you already maintain, instead of a second permission map in another tool.

9. Pricing: Per Company, Never Per User

Worknano is priced per company, never per user. Adding a colleague does not add a seat to pay for.

The Verdict

If your shared credentials are scattered across chats, spreadsheets and memory, and your company already juggles too many tools, Worknano gives you one place for all of it. Secrets live in the same workspace, UI and database as your chat, projects, OKRs, CRM and approvals: encrypted at rest, governed by your access levels and released through approvals.
